The Philadelphia Tribune Recognizes Oderah Nwaeze as a 2022 ‘Philadelphia Region Leader’

Business litigation partner Oderah Nwaeze was named by The Philadelphia Tribune as a 2022 "Philadelphia Region Leader," an annual recognition that honors the most influential African Americans in the Delaware Valley.

This award recognizes those who use their power for change in the community. Recipients exemplify a strong and inspirational work ethic and determination. The Philadelphia Tribune is “the nation’s oldest and greater Philadelphia’s largest newspaper serving the African American community.”

Nwaeze is a first-chair trial attorney who helps clients resolve complex corporate and commercial disputes. His practice includes matters involving shareholder rights; actions arising under the Delaware General Corporation Law and Delaware common law; lawsuits stemming from mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions; and breach-of-contract matters. He also counsels financial institutions in consumer-related litigation and credits a secondment with TD Bank for deepening his understanding of the legal and business sensitivities of banking clients.

Outside his practice, Nwaeze sits on a number of nonprofit boards, is dedicated to pro bono work, and is involved in several civic organizations and professional associations. He is on the Boards of Directors for Law360 Delaware Editorial Advisory Committee, Mother Teresa House Inc., Delaware Community Legal Aid Society, Inc., and Campus Philly, as well as the Compliance Committee of the Board of Trustees of Bancroft. Nwaeze also volunteers his time through Philadelphia Futures’ Sponsor-A-Scholar Program, including by serving as a mentor to a few of its students.
