Maria Lewis Honored with 'Albert S. Dandridge III Diversity Award' from Philadelphia Bar Association

Chief Diversity Officer Maria Lewis was selected as the recipient of the 2023 “Albert S. Dandridge III Diversity Award,” presented by the Business Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. The award is presented annually to one individual who has demonstrated a strong commitment to diversity, made a substantial contribution in the Philadelphia area, and promotes full and equal participation and inclusion in the legal profession.

Lewis embodies the spirit of this award through her work within the firm and community. As the firm’s Chief Diversity Officer, she serves as the champion of the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives by developing and facilitating strategies, decision making, priority setting and actions necessary to advance diversity and inclusion at all levels.

Additionally, effective April 1, 2023, Lewis will serve on Faegre Drinker’s executive leadership team when Gina Kastel starts her term as chair. The executive leadership team is responsible for implementing firm-wide strategy and policy.

Lewis and other Philadelphia Bar Association award honorees will be celebrated at the Business Law Section's Annual Reception on Feb.16, 2023, at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.
