Veronica Mason Selected as a ‘2023 Top Women in Finance’ Honoree by Finance & Commerce
Finance and restructuring partner Veronica Mason was named a “2023 Top Women in Finance” honoree by Finance & Commerce. This annual award recognizes “women who are making an impact in their professions and communities by breaking down barriers and paving the way for those who come after.”
Mason partners with financial institutions, corporations and other lenders and borrowers in finance transactions to maximize revenue generation and advises clients on asset-based lending, syndicated and club credit facilities, and senior and mezzanine debt financing.
An outside panel of experts reviewed the nominations and selected the honorees, who were recognized at a networking and awards event on November 16. See the full list of this year’s “Top Women in Finance.”
In a feature profile, Mason discussed her focus on structuring financial deals. For example, “They bring me in to document the loan, check that the contracts work how the parties want them to work and reflect the deal that’s been negotiated,” she said. Regarding her pro bono work, Mason added, “Many of these pro bono clients can’t afford attorneys and have big things in their lives that they need help with. I enjoy the chance to help them avoid removal or apply for a benefit, which is a life-changing event.”
