Faegre Drinker Appoints Lauren Barta and David Williams to Practice and Committee Leadership Roles

Faegre Drinker is pleased to announce its latest leadership appointments within the firm. Minneapolis partner Lauren Barta has been selected as vice chair of the firm’s national hiring committee and Chicago partner David Williams as chair of the investment management practice group, effective January 1, 2024.

Williams succeeds Philadelphia-based partner Joshua Deringer as chair of the practice group. Williams represents and counsels clients in the investment management industry, with particular focus on counseling investment advisers and investment company boards on registered investment company fund formation, regulatory requirements and corporate governance. He also serves on the diversity, equity & inclusion committee and is a member of the Chicago hiring committee.

Barta was selected to serve as vice chair of the national hiring committee. Barta also currently serves as deputy practice area leader of the patent litigation team and is on the steering committee of Faegre Drinker Women Forward, a firm initiative that is committed to supporting the recruitment, retention, advancement, and leadership development of the firm’s women.
