Amy Seidel Recognized as a ‘Top Woman in Law’ by Minnesota Lawyer
Corporate partner Amy Seidel was recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as a 2024 “Top Women in Law” honoree. Seidel, a former Faegre Drinker board member, advises public companies on SEC reporting requirements, stock exchange listing standards, executive compensation issues, disclosure issues and general corporate governance matters.
Top Women in Law celebrates the outstanding achievements of exceptional women in the legal community. According to the publication, they are remarkable role models, trailblazers and public-service lawyers as well as attorneys who have dedicated their careers to nonprofit work, private practice and in-house counsel work. The honorees were selected based on the core principles of leadership, professionalism, accomplishment and passion for making a difference. The full list of honorees can be found here.
In her profile piece, Seidel noted she has learned that “in order for us to have a successful practice, we need to focus on training not just our associates on new legal developments but also our clients.”
She has frequently helped client companies with executive and director succession, which can be critical to helping a company respond to the corporate crises that may happen such as how a board governs and communicates with investors and other constituents, which sometimes involves responding to activist shareholders. All of which can be monumental and pivotal moments in a company history.
