Cheryl Orr Named One of California's Top Women Lawyers by the Daily Journal

International labor and employment group and San Francisco office leader Cheryl Orr was named by the Daily Journal as one of the “Top Women Lawyers” for 2024. The Daily Journal annually recognizes women attorneys who demonstrate excellent legal and leadership skills in California. This is the tenth time that Cheryl has been included on this list of leading attorneys.

In her feature profile, the Daily Journal highlights Cheryl’s extensive practice and client wins from the past year, as well as her roles leading the San Francisco office and the more than 100 professional international labor and employment group.

An experienced litigator, Cheryl told the Daily Journal she credits her success in court and at the negotiating table with her successful team, who she said can “dig into the facts quite early and be very aggressive in our negotiations.”

“I try and hit the pressure points early, and surprisingly sometimes plaintiffs’ lawyers recognize the strengths of our arguments and don’t want to invest the time,” she added. “So I guess to the extent there’s a special sauce, it’s just having done this for a long time and recognizing how to position [the cases].”
