Daily Journal Names Cheryl Orr a 2024 ‘Top Labor & Employment Lawyer’

International labor and employment practice group and San Francisco office leader Cheryl Orr has been selected by Daily Journal as one of the “Top Labor & Employment Lawyers” for 2024. The list recognizes California’s top attorneys who have made significant contributions to labor and employment law. This is the tenth time that Cheryl has been included on this list of leading attorneys.

In a feature profile, Daily Journal highlighted Orr’s practice and its focus on class, collective and PAGA actions, as well as complex single-plaintiff cases that are headed for trial. 

Regarding recent PAGA reforms, Orr said she is “hopeful that the newly signed legislation will lead to real opportunities for our clients to both cure some of the alleged violations and also productively engage in the new settlement process.”

The article also highlighted how the international labor and employment team that Orr leads has achieved multiple resolutions this year.

“Every obstacle is an opportunity, but it takes a fair amount of experience and skill to navigate them. Excellent and strategic communication is critical.
