Faegre Drinker Commits to Participate in Mansfield 2024-25 Certification Process

Faegre Drinker is proud to announce the firm is reaffirming its commitment to Mansfield Certification for 2024–25. The firm has participated in the Mansfield Rule since it began in 2017 and has received both Certification and Certification Plus achievements from Diversity Lab every year since Mansfield Rule’s inception.

The Mansfield Certification measures the structural changes and steps the firm has taken over the past year to ensure its paths to leadership – including lateral hiring, client pitch teams, promotions, appointments and more – are open and transparent to all qualified attorneys. Firms and legal departments commit to expanding talent pools to include at least 30% and 50% historically underrepresented lawyers, respectively, for leadership opportunities. Advancement processes and leadership role descriptions at the firm are written, clear and accessible. This high level of transparency is part of a larger effort Faegre Drinker is undertaking through Mansfield to broaden the slate of talent considered for opportunities.

Faegre Drinker is excited to continue to be part of the Mansfield community, which is now 365+ firms strong — the largest cohort to date. Data shows that firms that remain committed and accountable to the Mansfield Certification process year-over-year are making substantial progress in creating inclusive talent practices and diversifying their leadership ranks.

Faegre Drinker holds itself accountable for making progress to diversify the legal profession and build a diverse workforce. The firm is consistently recognized by Seramount as a “Best Law Firm for Women and Diversity.” In November 2021, the firm signed on to Diversity Lab’s ‘OnRamp200,’ a new OnRamp Fellowship initiative aimed at bringing 200 women lawyers who have taken extended career hiatuses back into the legal profession by 2025.
