Partner Joshua Deringer spoke on a panel at the 2017 Cohen Client Conference on October 12, 2017. The panel was titled “Key Considerations for Boards Related to Advisor and Fund Mergers and Acquisitions.” The panel discussed the most common merger and transition issues that boards face today.

The discussion included an overview of the current M&A landscape in the investment industry, as well as a summary of legal, accounting, tax and governance challenges that boards must address when navigating a pending transaction or change in control.
