Insurance Claims for Workplace Harassment: In-house Counsel Responsibilities & Potential Coverage Issues

Nicole Wixted presented at a complimentary CLE event hosted by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) on April 23, 2018. Nicole’s presentation, titled “Insurance and Sexual Harassment: What is Your Responsibility?” explored in-house counsel’s responsibility for insurance claims as more people come forward with sexual harassment claims, the likelihood that the trend may increase given legislative efforts to make it easier to bring previously time-barred claims, and the types of insurance that may be available to cover some of these claims. The presentation described general types of claims for coverage and court-identified issues within those coverages or exclusions.
