Tips and Tricks for Avoiding Legal Pitfalls in Administering ERISA-Governed Benefit Plans

Faegre Drinker partner Philip Gutwein and associate Stephanie Gutwein will be speakers in a session titled "Tips and Tricks for Avoiding Legal Pitfalls in Administering ERISA-Governed Benefit Plans" at the BCBS 2022 National Summit in Orlando on May 4, 2022. This program will help advise third-party administrators, and plan administrators who contract with them, about tips and tricks they can employ to administer ERISA-governed health plans in a manner that is consistent with ERISA and helps to avoid introducing opportunities for participants or providers to assert claims against the administrators or the Plan. Learning objectives will include how to better identify potential pitfalls in administering ERISA-governed health plans, understanding best practices to use in administering ERISA-governed health plans that will aid in avoiding the potential pitfalls, and being able to provide further support plans who are sued in connection with medical claims.
