Health care partner Jesse Witten joined a discussion titled “Federal and State Enforcement of Private Equity Investment in Health Care” hosted by the Healthcare Enforcement Compliance Association.

The panel provided an overview of how the False Claims Act has been used to combat fraud and abuse involving health care companies owned and managed by private equity firms and how states have addressed notice and consent requirements in health care transactions involving those firms.
