Dear AI Chatbot, Please Suggest Five Guardrails for the Use of AI in Underwriting and Claims Processing

Insurance partner and co-leader of Faegre Drinker’s AI-X team Scott Kosnoff joined a roundtable discussion titled “Dear AI Chatbot, Please Suggest Five Guardrails for the Use of AI in Underwriting and Claims Processing” at the 2024 Louisiana Department of Insurance Conference. 

The discussion centered around the growing use of artificial intelligence by insurance companies. Kosnoff and the panel provided an overview of potential parameters and guardrails that should be in place for insurance companies and regulators to ensure that consumers are protected.
