The Deal Magazine Features Rock Bottom Acquisition

The Deal Magazine reported on Rock Bottom Restaurants recent acquisition by Centerbridge Capital Partners L.P, naming Faegre & Benson's James Williams Jr. and John Marcil as Rock Bottom Restaurants' counsel. 

Concurrent with the acquisition of Rock Bottom, Centerbridge acquired Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Group, Inc. Centerbridge will operate both restaurant groups as subsidiaries of its newly formed entity CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries, Inc.

The Deal reported that Rock Bottom founder Frank Day and Gordon Biersch CEO Allen Corey have known each other for more than 15 years.  Rock Bottom and Gordon Biersch have previously been on the auction block, but Gordon Biersch was not running a formal sales process when Centerbridge approached it.
