Angie Castille Speaks With Indiana Lawyer About New Role as Chair of Lex Mundi
In the article “Faegre attorney embraces global role,” the Indiana Lawyer highlighted Faegre Drinker partner and international team co-leader Angella Castille, her global background and new role as chair of Lex Mundi.
Castille will lead the organization just as the world is tentatively emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic. “The year ahead is going to be an interesting year,” said Castille. “It will be transitional, but I do think many of the lessons we learned this past year will continue forward.”
Looking at her year ahead as chair, Castille explained that she is focused on the attorneys and their clients and is excited about Lex Mundi’s new initiatives including LM WINS, which is promoting diversity and inclusion across the profession. “In the way we approach these initiatives, I think it’s important to make sure that the legal community and our legal members are reaching out to women and minorities around the world,” Castille noted. “I think that will truly be game-changing.”
Castille highlighted the grit and collaborative spirit that emerged among the Lex Mundi law firms throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and the organization’s response to what everybody was facing. “I really feel like the world has learned a valuable lesson this past year and a half, so there’s really good cause for hope going forward. We’re fortunate here in this country and we need to remember we’re part of a global community,” Castille shared.
