Chicago Lawyer Spotlights Faegre Drinker’s New Chicago Office in ‘Spaces’ Feature
In a feature article titled “Something to call their own,” Chicago Lawyer highlighted Faegre Drinker’s new office at 320 S Canal Street in Chicago in its “Spaces” section. The publication turned to James Sawyer, partner and Chicago office leader, and Regional Director of Administration Michelle Howe for insight on the office’s design and features.
“Now that the masks are off, and the office is new, it’s really wonderful to get connected,” said Sawyer. He also noted how the new office space presents as airy, bright and open. “You feel relaxed and comfortable.” Sawyer continued, “The space allows us to be flexible and to pivot when we need to pivot.”
The publication also mentioned the firm’s design committee, which assisted with the development of the new space. “We wanted people to feel included,” Howe explained. When asked about the decision to have universal-size offices, she added, “It creates opportunity for egality, and it says everyone is welcome.”
Chicago Lawyer further detailed how the office is equipped with technology and various types of spaces, from small to large rooms for meetings to social events, including views of Chicago and Lake Michigan, as well as an outdoor plaza.
