Mentoring Diverse Talent Critical for Law Firms
Business litigation partner Tracey Salmon-Smith and associate Diego Rosado coauthored an article for NJBIZ titled “Mentoring Diverse Talent Critical for Law Firms,” discussing why the mentorship of younger, diverse attorneys is both necessary for the success of those attorneys and a valuable investment for law firms.
Salmon-Smith and Rosado give insight to designing a successful mentoring model that develops diverse talent in order to meet client expectations. The authors outline the importance of retaining diverse talent, connecting attorneys with mentors and role models and providing meaningful opportunities and experiences. They also discuss both the business and holistic perspectives of this mentorship.
