John Przypyszny Comments on Grand Canyon University Statement Against Federal Agencies in Inside Higher Ed

In “Grand Canyon University Lambastes Federal Agencies in ‘Unusual’ Public Statement,” Inside Higher Ed turned to education practice team leader John Przypyszny for his commentary on allegations from Grand Canyon University that three federal agencies have coordinated investigations to unjustly target the institution.

Przypyszny said releasing the statement reflects a degree of frustration from the institution, and the Grand Canyon University officials may feel like they have “little to lose” with the regulators.

“It’s unusual,” Przypyszny noted. “Whether this will help them in resolving these matters or whether this was really essentially just to have their side of the story told, which they are entitled to do, I don’t know. I don’t know if it moves the needle that much.”
