Erica MacDonald Speaks to KSTP-TV About Digital Evidence in Sex Trafficking Case

In a news segment for KSTP-TV, business litigation partner Erica MacDonald discussed the importance of digital evidence in a trial regarding child sex trafficking.

MacDonald noted that one aspect of trafficking that has changed is digital evidence. “It has been a watershed in prosecutions, keeping up with these electronic devices,” she said.

MacDonald also explained that even with the digital evidence, testimony from victims “takes an extraordinary amount of courage and trust in the system.” She added, “When you have success in a case like that, it empowers others who are going through this to come forward and report what’s happened to them.”
