Elsa Bullard Discusses Autonomous Vehicles With Law360

Business litigation partner Elsa Bullard spoke to Law360 about a recent California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) decision regarding autonomous vehicles (AVs).

Bullard said the CPUC's decision presents a "fantastic opportunity to move autonomous vehicle technology forward, and San Francisco can now serve as an even more robust testing ground for these vehicles."

"The successes and challenges that emerge in the next months and years will be instructive to AV manufacturers and operators but especially to other cities and states looking for the safest way to incorporate AVs," Bullard added. "More fulsome operation will allow operators and the public to better assess how to maximize the benefits of AV taxis, such as greater mobility for disabled community members, and increase public acceptance by mitigating any issues."
