Neil Olderman Spoke With Modern Healthcare on Increasing Hospital Acquisitions

Neil Olderman spoke with Modern Healthcare on the expected increase of hospital acquisitions to come in the remainder of the year. 

Academic health systems are expected to be involved in the surge of acquisitions, adding community hospitals. Finances are improving at many large health systems and Olderman said, “Academic medical centers will be aggressive. The capabilities they bring with research, clinical trials and primary care integration would give them a leg up in certain markets, especially in value-based care.”
