Ideas We Should Borrow: A Legislative Wishlist for NJ Trusts and Estates

Private client partner Lisa Presser and associate Brian Balduzzi authored an article for the New Jersey Law Journal titled, “Ideas We Should Borrow: A Legislative Wishlist for NJ Trusts and Estates.”
In the article, the authors discuss how recent changes in the law affect estate planning and could provide a template for the New Jersey legislature to improve estate planning within the state and for its residents. Some changes shared include the Connecticut Uniform Trust Decanting Act, Pennsylvania nonjudicial account settlement, Pennsylvania Directed Trust Act and Maryland domestic partnership registration.
