Overview

Harrison Baker advises corporate clients in difficult litigation in federal and state courts and in government enforcement actions. Harrison draws on his experience as a former federal judicial clerk, corporate attorney and financial services risk consultant to advise and help clients in solving the business problems that underlie many of their legal issues.

Civil Litigation

Harrison has experience litigating in both federal court and the New York state courts, with clients including major financial services institutions, professional services firms and consumer products companies. Harrison assists legal teams with research and drafting of pleadings and legal memoranda, coordinates discovery, and facilitates other key aspects of civil litigation.

Government Enforcement & Investigations

Harrison works to mitigate the risk posed by criminal and civil investigations by both federal and state law enforcement agencies and regulators. Harrison assists clients in coordinating their responses to government inquiries to expeditiously achieve favorable outcomes, including from government entities such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and state and local law enforcement.

Prior Experience

Before joining the firm, Harrison served as a judicial clerk to Judge James J. Tancredi in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut. During that time, he composed decisions and orders pertaining to bankruptcy cases and related adversary proceedings, performed requisite legal research, and helped to manage the court’s docket. Harrison also spent time with another law firm as a corporate associate, where he facilitated transactions primarily in the leveraged finance and private funds spaces.

Before law school, Harrison was an associate at a major consulting firm, where he assisted banking and capital markets clients in overcoming challenges to enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance.

Personal Interests

Harrison is an avid golfer and New York sports fan, and also enjoys learning and attempting new culinary concoctions at home in the kitchen.
