Overview

Chris Bruenjes helps clients protect and grow their intellectual property assets. He represents clients in patent litigation, including post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and reissue and reexamination proceedings. He also counsels clients in general patent portfolio management, including drafting opinions and developing strategies for clients seeking to adapt non-U.S. (especially European) patent applications to the demands of the U.S. patent landscape.

Chris has particular experience in chemical and mechanical patent prosecution, and his work supports a range of clients, including chemical manufacturers, a hygiene product manufacturer and medical device companies.

  • Developed and implemented, as lead counsel, a winning strategy to avoid institution in an Inter Partes Review Proceeding
  • Developed and implemented, in consultation with a European client, a strategy for improving U.S. patent applications originally drafted for Europe
