Overview

Ryan is an intellectual property litigator. Beyond litigation, Ryan also responds to client’s data breaches, counsels on privacy issues and resolves their domain name disputes.

Intellectual Property Litigation

Ryan handles trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret and false advertising disputes in courts around the country with an industry focus on consumer products and life sciences. He is experienced in all pre-trial proceedings, including alternative dispute resolution, motions practice, managing discovery, taking depositions, appealing interlocutory orders, and trial preparation.

Prior Experience

Ryan clerked for the Hon. Timothy M. Tymkovich of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. In addition to his circuit work, Ryan assisted Judge Tymkovich resolve cases while he sat by designation in the Ninth Circuit and in the Districts of Utah and Colorado.

During law school, Ryan interned for the Hon. Richard L. Gabriel of the Colorado Supreme Court and at the U.S. Attorney’s office in Denver.

Prior to law school, Ryan served in the U.S. Air Force. Before that, he was a trip director and outdoor education instructor at a YMCA camp in northern Wisconsin.
