Overview
David Creasey solves a broad range of clients’ challenges, including contract and complex commercial disputes, appeals, consumer-fraud class actions, patent and copyright disputes, multi-district litigation and internal investigations. He maintains a national practice with experience litigating cases in numerous state and federal courts across the country, including in Iowa, Illinois, Delaware, New Jersey, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri.
David has significant experience representing and counseling clients in the food and agribusiness sector, including litigating cases and advising clients on issues involving contracts, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, fiduciary duties and product liability. He has specific experience with companies involved in grain merchandising, digital agriculture, herbicides and grocery store chains, among others.
He also has years of experience representing and counseling clients in the pharmaceutical, tobacco and insurance industries.
David practiced law at Winston and Strawn in Chicago, before returning home to Iowa and joining Faegre Drinker. In Chicago, David’s practice focused on defending pharmaceutical companies in patent litigation and defending pharmaceutical and tobacco companies in product liability cases and consumer-fraud class actions. He was the lead associate on a team that obtained a jury verdict in favor of a major tobacco manufacturer in a consumer class action lawsuit with potential damages in excess of a billion dollars.
