Overview

Jaci Gordon provides experienced counsel to clients in the insurance industry as they address the complexities of federal tax requirements, including definitional requirements under Sections 7702 and 72, diversification requirements, and the investor control doctrine.

Throughout more than a decade of practice, she has helped clients to analyze investment structures and assets, navigate investment partnerships (including hedge funds and private equity funds), address novel tax issues (including the tax treatment of digital currency) and more.

Tax Experience

Throughout her career, Jaci has worked with U.S. and non-U.S. issued life insurance and annuity products, investment companies, individuals, and other business entities and their stakeholders on a wide spectrum of tax matters. She has extensive experience in foreign, federal, state and local tax issues.
