Kaili Janus partners with lenders and borrowers in financing transactions. Her clients include agent banks, private equity funds, and public and private companies. Kaili has represented clients in acquisition financing, asset-based lending, standalone letter of credit facilities, multicurrency facilities, single-lender and club transactions, syndicated credit facilities, senior and mezzanine debt financings, and other secured and unsecured lending transactions across various industries. She has experience with borrowers in various industries, including life sciences, health care, financial services, insurance, restaurant, retail, communications, manufacturing and logistics. Kaili is practical, efficient, organized and calm under pressure and teams with her colleagues and clients to get transactions to closing.

  • Represented the agent in connection with a $107.5 million credit facility for a fast casual restaurant with over 160 loan parties.
  • Represented the agent in connection with a $96 million senior secured credit facility for an insurance brokerage and consulting firm.
  • Represented the borrower, a public transportation and logistics solutions company, in a $1.1 billion multicurrency revolving credit facility.
  • Represented the borrower in the structuring of a $350 million revolving capital commitment-subscription secured credit facility.
  • Represented the borrower, a global accessories company, in connection with a $315 million acquisition financing, including a $265 million multicurrency asset-based loan.
  • Represented the borrower, a language services portfolio company, in connection with a $75 million refinancing credit facility.
  • Represented the borrower, a gas and chemical parts manufacturer portfolio company, in connection with a $36 million senior secured acquisition financing and $10.2 million mezzanine financing.
  • Represented the borrower, a printing services portfolio company, in connection with a $34.5 million acquisition financing club facility. 

Prior Experience

Kaili has grown her legal career at Faegre Drinker, joining the firm after working as a summer associate at the firm. Before joining the firm, Kaili worked as an account representative for a corporate product branding company.

Personal Interests

Kaili is a former division one field hockey player and has continued to participate in adult leagues when she is not spending time with her family.
