Construction & Real Estate Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Allie Jo represents clients in all stages of construction and real estate dispute resolution, from pre-litigation negotiation and mediation, arbitration, trial work in district court and administrative proceedings, and on appeal, including those involving:
- Construction and design defects
- Construction delay claims
- Mechanics’ liens and payment disputes
- Real estate title issues
- Commercial lease disputes
- Eminent domain litigation
- Adverse possession and quiet title actions

Construction Transactions
She provides counsel to clients on construction projects and guides them through the contracting and construction process. Allie Jo drafts and negotiates construction and design contracts and advises clients on mitigating risks and advancing their business goals.
Indian Law
Allie Jo is experienced in environmental, energy and federal Indian law and has assisted tribal clients with gaming compliance and regulation, administrative rulemakings, litigation, drafting contracts, negotiating right-of-way agreements and placing tribal lands into trust.
Prior Experience
Allie Jo came to Faegre Drinker from the tribal government of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, where she was inside legal counsel, focusing on environmental, energy and land-related matters.
She also served as a law clerk for the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy and for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. During law school, Allie Jo served as student director of the University of Minnesota Law School Federal Immigration Litigation Clinic and was a member of the National Energy & Sustainability Moot Court Competition team.
