Ali Olszeski is a seasoned trial lawyer with a track record of success. In addition to building and leading strong trial teams, Ali advises clients on their most challenging pre-litigation disputes and leads internal investigations.

With clients spanning a range of industries — including private equity, technology, food and agribusiness, communications, construction, and transportation — Ali’s deep industry knowledge allows her to craft tailored legal strategies aligning with clients’ business objectives.

Ali’s approach to legal counsel is grounded in active listening and open communication. She well knows that listening to clients’ needs and goals is crucial to providing effective representation. Ali ensures that every legal maneuver is designed to support and advance a client’s objectives. 

Complex Commercial Disputes

Ali regularly builds and leads diverse, cross-office teams to meet clients’ needs. She has a history of success in complex commercial cases of all types, most recently involving claims of breach of contract, fraud, defamation, tortious interference, alter ego liability, breach of fiduciary duties, breach of representations and warranties, breach of the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act, breach of Illinois privacy laws, negligence, and negligent misrepresentations. 

Select Representative Experience: Complex Commercial Disputes

  • Obtained summary judgment in Missouri federal court in favor of leading seller of vitamins and dietary supplements in a putative class action involving an alleged violation of the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act and a claim for unjust enrichment.
  • Defended leading supplier to the global life science sector in New Jersey federal court against an emergency application for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction involving the production and sale of a pharmaceutical ingredient, which ultimately led to the dismissal of the entire action.
  • Defeated summary judgment for a national propane company in New York state court in a lawsuit involving an alleged breach of an asset purchase agreement, which led to a favorable resolution. 
  • Successfully defended an international hotel chain against allegations of mismanagement of the hotel, breach of the management contract, breach of fiduciary duties and related claims.

Internal Investigations

Ali leads internal investigations, offering clients strategic guidance throughout the process. She advises on pre-litigation disputes, helping clients navigate potential conflicts before they escalate. Additionally, Ali provides counsel on making voluntary disclosures to the government. Her experience extends to defending clients in state and federal courts across the nation against claims relating to clients’ internal investigations. 

Select Representative Experience: Internal Investigations

  • Led an internal investigation for a large technology company and negotiated a favorable resolution with the government.
  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of a Fortune 500 company in a lawsuit relating to the company’s internal investigation, involving claims of defamation, tortious interference and tens of millions of dollars in damages. 
  • Won appeal in favor of a Fortune 500 company in a lawsuit arising from the company’s internal investigation. 
  • Led an internal investigation for a nonprofit and negotiated a favorable resolution.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Ali enjoys traveling with her husband, Adam, and their two children, Ellie and Grayson; hosting lively dance parties with her children; and spending quality time with her extended family.
