Overview

A recognized authority in trade compliance, Mollie Sitkowski combines a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks with a results-driven approach, making her a trusted advisor for companies operating in high-stakes international markets. Mollie’s practice focuses on import/export regulations, forced labor, sanctions compliance and national security-related matters, including those administered and enforced by the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), the Department of Commerce’s Bureaus of Industry and Security (BIS) and Census, the Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), and the Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). With a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding U.S. export controls, trade restrictions, and foreign investment, Mollie advises multinational corporations, small businesses, and individuals on navigating the complex landscape of trade compliance, mitigate legal risks, and ensure compliance with both U.S. and international regulatory requirements.

Trusted Legal Counsel

A trusted legal advisor in matters of national security, Mollie offers skilled guidance on compliance with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) regulations, ensuring that foreign investments are properly vetted in accordance with U.S. national security concerns. Additionally, Mollie helps clients meet the requirements of the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) and other forced labor findings and orders, advising businesses on how to align their supply chains with human rights standards and avoid detentions and supply chain delays for forced labor-related violations.

Mollie works closely with corporations, government contractors, and multinational companies to develop tailored strategies that align with both commercial objectives and legal obligations. She provides guidance on licensing, regulatory enforcement and due diligence processes, offering practical solutions to complex challenges in areas ranging from cross-border transactions to supply chain management.
