Professional Sports Team Stadium Construction and Financing

In 2012, the Minnesota Legislature passed a $975 million funding package for the design and construction of a multi-use stadium complex. In 2013, the financing mechanism needed to be redesigned to generate sufficient revenue for the project. The redesign financing mechanism was inserted into the 2013 Omnibus Tax Bill. Our firm lead these efforts working closely with the Governor and legislative leadership to draft and negotiate stadium legislation in 2012 as well as the redesign of the funding mechanism in 2013.
