A medical device manufacturer responded to a subpoena issued by the Department of Defense and participated in negotiations with the Department of Justice as part of an investigation into the legality of certain transactions it made with the federal government. The transactions under question centered around products the client sold to the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs that were manufactured in countries deemed non-compliant with the Buy American Act and the Trade Agreements Act.
