Corporate and University Leaders Seek Advice on Travel Bans From Immigration & Global Mobility Team

North America - United States | North America

Our immigration and global mobility lawyers have provided multiple companies, nonprofits, and colleges and universities with ‘real time,’ around-the-clock, seven-day-per-week updates and guidance to advise on the impact President Trump’s Executive Orders would have on the organizations’ employees, dependents, service providers, customers and others.

Our immigration lawyers drafted summaries, talking points, training materials and advice to help companies proactively plan for and address problems caused by the travel bans. Our lawyers also helped identify people and scenarios that would not be covered by Executive Orders. The IGM team also met with and provided companies and universities with Q&A sessions for the in-house legal, HR and global mobility teams of many companies, in particular in health care (as the bans impacted physician and other health care providers, in addition to many international patients with scheduled U.S. appointments and procedures), retail, manufacturing, engineering and technology).

Results may vary depending on your particular facts and legal circumstances.
