A higher education institution won complete summary judgment following a years-long saga involving the termination of a faculty member resulting from the faculty member’s involvement in an improper sexual relationship. The faculty member sued the institution in federal court, alleging multiple discrimination and hostile environment claims based on race, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability and religion, in addition to causes of action for breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Our firm represented the higher education institution throughout the years-long litigation.
