29 Associates Join Faegre Baker Daniels in 12 Practices
Twenty-nine new lawyers have joined Faegre Baker Daniels as associates in 12 practices, across eight of the firm’s U.S. and international offices.
Associates are joining the firm’s locations in Chicago, Ill.; Denver, Colo.; Des Moines, Iowa; Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and South Bend, Ind.; Minneapolis, Minn.; and London, U.K.
The additions include six new lawyers in business litigation, one in construction and real estate litigation, five in corporate, one in finance and restructuring, one in health care and FDA, one in insurance, four in intellectual property, one in labor and employment, six in product liability and environmental, two in real estate, and one in tax advocacy.
All of the new lawyers have legal experience as law clerks, summer associates, legal interns or judicial externs.

Chicago
Ruben Gonzalez is a product liability litigator. He received his law degree from Notre Dame Law School in 2015. Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s degree in political science cum laude from George Washington University in 2007. Before his legal career, Gonzalez was a consultant with Deloitte Consulting and BAE Systems.
Emma Olson is a real estate lawyer. She received a law degree cum laude from the Northwestern University School of Law in 2015, and a bachelor’s degree in business and political science from the University of Minnesota in 2009. Before her legal career, Olson worked in politics and consulted on nonprofit development.
Denver
Brian Lynch focuses on construction law and real estate litigation. In 2015, he received a law degree magna cum laude, Order of the Coif from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Lynch received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice cum laude from the University of Wyoming in 2012.
Des Moines
Martin Demoret practices with FaegreBD’s business litigation team. He received a law degree with highest distinction, Order of the Coif from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2014. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology, summa cum laude from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2007. Prior to his legal career, Demoret worked in a psychiatric hospital, where he facilitated educational programming and led crisis response teams for patients.
Bryce Morgan is a corporate lawyer. He earned his law degree with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law, and his masters of business administration in finance from the University of Iowa Tippie School of Management in 2015. Morgan received a bachelor’s degree in Russian from the University of Utah in 2010.
Dasha Ternavska is a member of FaegreBD’s product liability and environmental team. She earned her law degree with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2013. Ternavska received a bachelor’s degree cum laude in international studies and French from Central College in 2008.
Fort Wayne
Kapil Banakar is an intellectual property lawyer who focuses on patent matters. He earned his law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2015. Banakar received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University in 2012.
Eldin Hasic is a member of FaegreBD’s product liability and environmental team. Hasic earned a law degree cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics with distinction and honors from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2010.
Indianapolis
Sarah Bowers is a member of the firm’s labor and employment practice. Bowers received a law degree summa cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2013 and a bachelor’s degree cum laude from DePauw University in 2008.
Reid Dodge is an intellectual property litigator. He earned a law degree summa cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2015. Dodge received a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in engineering physics from Taylor University in 2012.
Andrea Kochert Townsend practices with FaegreBD’s business litigation team. She received a law degree summa cum laude and Order of the Barrister from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2013 and a bachelor’s in accounting summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2010.
Chelsey McCory is an associate in the firm’s intellectual property group who focuses on patents. McCory earned a law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Indiana University in 2010. Prior to her legal career, McCory was a chemist at a pharmaceutical company.
Justin Olson is a member of FaegreBD’s business litigation team. He received a law degree magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2013 and a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in history and French from Grove City College in 2010.
Joshua Ruff practices with FaegreBD’s insurance team. Ruff earned a law degree with honors from the University of Chicago Law School in 2015. He received a bachelor’s degree cum laude in political science from Butler University in 2011.
Anna Rutigliano is a member of FaegreBD’s product liability and environmental team. She received a law degree summa cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2015. Rutigliano earned a bachelor’s in nursing from Indiana University in 2012 and is a registered nurse.
Julianne Brainard is a member of the firm’s health care and FDA practice group. She earned a law degree cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with the highest honors in history from the College of William and Mary in 2011.
Emily Steeb practices with FaegreBD’s tax advocacy group. She received a law degree cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2015. Steeb earned a bachelor’s degree with distinction in behavioral neuroscience from Purdue University in 2012.
Samuel Swafford is a real estate lawyer. He received a law degree cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in history from DePauw University in 2012.
London
Frankie Cooke is a corporate lawyer. She received a postgraduate diploma with commendation in legal practice from BPP University in 2011. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history from New York University in 2009. Prior to her legal career, Cooke worked as an adviser at the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Minneapolis
Doowon Chung is an intellectual property litigator at FaegreBD. He received a law degree from the University of Minnesota in 2015 and a master’s in communication from the University of Missouri in 2011. Chung earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wake Forest in 2009.
Rory Collins practices business litigation. He earned a law degree Order of the Coif from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2015 and graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Carleton College in 2010.
Ashley Dorman practices with the firm’s corporate group. She earned a law degree with high distinction and service honors from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree from New York University in 2010. Prior to her legal career, Dorman was an account executive with a leading firm in New York City in the proxy solicitation and shareholder services field.
Patrick Lucke practices with the firm’s corporate group. He received a law degree summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Minnesota in 2012.
Veronica Mason practices with FaegreBD’s finance and restructuring team. She earned a law degree summa cum laude from the Hamline University School of Law in 2014 and a bachelor’s degree cum laude in politics and French language and literature from New York University in 2005. Mason worked for the NBA New Orleans Pelicans (formerly Hornets) as assistant director of ticket operations before pursuing a legal career.
Laura Reilly practices business litigation. She earned a law degree cum laude from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2015 as well as a master’s degree in criminology summa cum laude in 2011. She received a bachelor’s in psychology from Rhodes College in 2008. Reilly previously worked at the Center for Community Criminology and Research in Memphis where she served as project coordinator for two multimillion-dollar crime prevention initiatives funded by the Department of Justice.
Raxit Shah practices with the firm’s corporate group. He received a law degree with distinction and service honors from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s universali cum honore in political science from Washington University in St. Louis in 2012.
Bryan Washburn practices business litigation. He earned a law degree with highest distinction and Order of the Coif from University of Iowa College of Law in 2015. Washburn received a bachelor’s degree cum laude in justice systems from Truman State University in 2011.
Jeffrey Wojciechowski practices with the product liability group. He earned a law degree cum laude and Order of the Coif from the Northwestern University School of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in political science from Tufts University in 2007. Before law school, Wojciechowski provided operational support to a team of lawyers at the Medical-Legal Partnership in Boston. He also worked as a research analyst for the National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP), and was a public policy fellow with the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, both in Washington, D.C.
South Bend
Steven Clark practices business litigation. He earned a law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Campbell University in 2012. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Clark served on active duty in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, from 2004-10, serving a combined 27 months in Iraq conducting more than 100 combat operations after graduating from U.S. Army Ranger School in 2006.
