Peter Blenkinsop Featured in Inside Cybersecurity

Washington, D.C., partner Peter Blenkinsop was featured in an Inside Cybersecurity article titled “Health IT Lawyers Cite HIPAA Shortcomings in Complying With New EU Data Rule.” The article discussed a recent webinar hosted by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). The webinar, which Peter presented in collaboration with Elaine Zacharakis of Garfunkel Wild, focused on the application of the EU’s new General Data Protection Regulation to U.S. healthcare providers. In particular, Peter and Elaine discussed differences between privacy requirements under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and EU data protection requirements.
