Faegre Baker Daniels Bolsters Product Liability Practice with Five Lateral Hires
Faegre Baker Daniels continues to bolster its product liability practice with the addition of five lateral hires across four offices. FaegreBD’s product liability practice has now grown to over 125 professionals in nine offices. Through high-stakes trials and multidistrict litigation across the country, the practice has grown steadily over the last six years serving as national trial counsel for companies in the medical device, pharmaceutical, food, agricultural, consumer products, vehicular and aquatics industries. The following five lateral lawyers were added to its roster throughout Q2 of 2019.
Traci McKee joined FaegreBD from Henderson Franklin in Fort Myers, Florida, where she was a partner. As a resident of Florida, she brings her jury trial and litigation experience defending medical devices and consumer products in mass torts, class actions, and single-plaintiff cases. McKee earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law where she graduated No. 1 in her class.
FaegreBD added Jim Frederick to its Washington, D.C., office from Goodell DeVries where he was a partner. Frederick has vast experience defending life sciences companies in pharmaceutical and medical device product liability, mass tort and consumer fraud lawsuits. A former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Maryland, Frederick has a deep background investigating and prosecuting civil and criminal fraud cases to inform his defense strategy for clients. Frederick earned his law degree from The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University.
Paul Del Aguila left Greenberg Traurig’s partnership to join the FaegreBD team in Chicago. Del Aguila brings additional drug and device product liability litigation, mass tort and class action experience, as well as international litigation expertise. Del Aguila, earned his law degree from University of Illinois College of Law.
Pete Goss returned to FaegreBD after serving as a partner at Blackwell Burke in Minneapolis. Goss serves as trial and science counsel in multidistrict litigation and class actions involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices and environmental issues. Goss earned his law degree from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
Kevin Boot has nearly two decades of experience counseling food, feed and dietary supplement makers on national and international issues and regulations affecting their business. An experienced advisor on food labeling, advertising and marketing compliance, he understands the client’s perspective and needs after spending 15 years in-house in legal and regulatory affairs positions with leading food and feed companies. He collaborates closely with clients to decrease their litigation and enforcement risks. Boot earned his law degree from George Washington University Law School.
