Business Litigation Partner Alec Harris Joins Faegre Drinker in Denver

Faegre Drinker announced today that Alec Harris has joined the firm as a business litigation partner in the Denver office. Harris is the latest addition to the firm’s litigation practice, following the additions of partners Richard Scheff, Carrie Sarhangi Love, Katharine Ladd, Jonathan Boughrum and counsel David Herman.

Harris defends clients in complex commercial litigation, litigation involving highly regulated entities, class actions and trademark disputes. His clients are in many industries, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, agriculture, finance, consumer packaged goods, digital advertising, telecommunications, health care, retail and hospitality.

“Alec is a high-stakes litigator, and his experience with clients across highly regulated industries bolsters our established litigation team in Denver and beyond,” said Debbie Ellingboe, leader of the firm’s business litigation team. “We look forward to continuing to build on the momentum of our practice group’s recent growth with top talent such as Alec.”

Previously a partner at a national law firm with offices in Denver, Colorado, Harris has broad experience in litigation matters across the country and in Colorado. Harris also previously worked as a staff attorney for Harvard Law School’s Consumer Protection Clinic, and as a fellow assistant attorney general at the Colorado Department of Law. He clerked for the Colorado Supreme Court.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Alec to Faegre Drinker,” said partner and Denver office leader Jared Briant. “Alec’s sophisticated skillset and relentless client focus are the perfect fit for our firm and our clients in the Rocky Mountain region.”

Harris earned his bachelor’s degree, with highest distinction, from the University of Michigan and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
