Life Insurance Anti-fraud Training

On November 17, 2022, Faegre Drinker partners Tim O’Driscoll and Chris Petillo and associates Luke Dodge and Fran Mangot discussed issues in connection with life insurance fraud. The presentation included an overview of common red flags to identify potential fraud at the underwriting and claim stages; legal principles applicable to underwriters; Special Investigation Unit (SIU) issues; agent-driven fraud; and modern trends such as identify theft, account takeovers and accelerated underwriting issues.
