Telehealth Awareness Week Telehealth Policy Update

Faegre Drinker Health Policy & Government Relations Director Megan Herber spoke on a panel for the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), which included contributions from panelist Quinn Shean of Tusk Venture Partners and moderator Alexis Gilroy of Jones Day. The webinar was part of ATA’s Telehealth Awareness Week and was hosted by the ATA Government Relations Special Interest Group. The discussion covered telehealth policy and how it impacts consumers and patients. The panelists also discussed the responsibilities of federal and state governments in regulating the practice and reimbursement of telehealth, common misconceptions about telehealth and telehealth policy, why telehealth receives broad bipartisan support from policymakers, and our predictions about the top telehealth policy topics for next year.
