Notes From the Field: A Federal Judge's Impressions on Rule of Law in Central Asia

Andy Taylor is moderating a conversation with the Hon. John Tunheim of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, who is sharing his observations on the rule of law in Central Asia, at a free webinar of the American Bar Association. Andy is the vice chair for policy of the Eurasia Committee of ABA’s International Law Section.

Judge Tunheim is speaking following his trip to Uzbekistan, where he collaborated with government officials and civil society on legal reform and institution building. Judge Tunheim has spent decades working on rule of law efforts throughout Central Asia, Eastern Europe and other parts of the world.
