Life Insurance Anti-Fraud Training

On July 31, 2024, Faegre Drinker partners Tim O’Driscoll and Chris Petillo and associate Fran Mangot discussed a wide range of issues in connection with life insurance fraud. The presentation included an overview of Special Investigation Unit (SIU) functions and fraud reporting; fraud statistics in key states; common red flags to identify potential fraud; challenges and considerations in obtaining medical records in connection with contestable claims; and addressing modern fraud issues and trends, such as technology-driven forgery, identify theft, and account takeovers.
