Monitoring the Makeup Aisle

Product liability and mass torts partner Nury Yoo and associates Emily Dodane and Kadeejah Kelly-Previl coauthored an article for the Hennepin County Bar Association titled, “Monitoring the Makeup Aisle.” In the article, the authors discuss the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA).

The authors discuss the new requirements of MoCRA, which include facility registration and product listing, safety substantiation, adverse event reporting, labeling, and good manufacturing practices. Many of MoCRA’s requirements are already in effect, while others are still under development and will be in effect by the end of 2024.
