Celebrating the Contributions of our Asian American and Pacific Islander Colleagues
May 2021
Faegre Drinker is proud to celebrate National Asian Pacific American Heritage Month — a recognition of the achievements and contributions of people of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) descent.
Faegre Drinker benefits from the many important contributions of our AAPI colleagues. These professionals hold leadership roles across our practices and communities. They contribute each day to the important work conducted on behalf of firm clients, and their rich and diverse history and traditions inform our firm culture and point of view.
Faegre Drinker has also long supported the important work of Asian affinity bar associations including the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) and South Asian Bar Association (SABA), as well as numerous local affiliate chapters and community organizations committed to improving the representation and advancement of the AAPI community. As we work to combat increased racism and violence faced by the AAPI community, the mission of these organizations is more important than ever. Faegre Drinker is proud to be a signatory of NAPABA’s Stand Against Hate pledge and a member of The Alliance for Asian American Justice. We stand in support of our AAPI colleagues, clients and community members.
While it is critical to acknowledge this rise in overt racism and violence and affirm Faegre Drinker’s unwavering support for our AAPI colleagues, our main focus during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month is to celebrate our core value of diversity and inclusion by recognizing the significant contributions and rich legacy of the AAPI community, including our colleagues, clients and friends of the firm.
By sharing resources and information about the rich culture and contributions of our Asian American and Pacific Islander colleagues, we continue our important work to build a culture that embraces our differences and appreciates the unique perspectives and contributions of all. We must each actively contribute to this culture of inclusion that strengthens our organization and profession.
