Overview
Rachel Beck is a skilled litigator who represents clients across a broad range of industries in complex commercial disputes. Her practice spans high-stakes matters involving contract breaches, fraud, negligence, alter ego liability, consumer privacy issues, trade secret misappropriation, fiduciary duty claims, antitrust issues and unfair competition. She also has deep experience navigating disputes arising out of business transactions and commercial relationships.
Commercial & Complex Litigation
Rachel is adept at handling all phases of litigation, from early fact investigation through trial and appeal. She frequently manages complex litigation dockets involving coordinated proceedings across multiple jurisdictions, including both state and federal courts.
Privacy Litigation & Class Actions
Increasingly, Rachel advises and defends clients — both individuals and corporations — in class actions and individual lawsuits involving federal and state consumer protection and privacy statutes, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Genetic Information Privacy Act (GIPA), the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) and New York City’s Biometric Identifier Information Law.
Government Investigations
In addition to her commercial litigation practice, Rachel represents clients facing government investigations, including inquiries from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Pro Bono
Rachel maintains a robust pro bono practice focused on representing detained immigrant children in state and federal court, including securing Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) for eligible clients.
