Overview

Erik counsels public and privately held companies on a wide variety of corporate matters, including transactions, governance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior Experience

Erik worked as a student attorney at the University of Minnesota Law School’s Sports & Name, Image and Likeness Clinic where he counseled student-athletes on evolving regulations and drafted contracts. Erik worked as a certified student attorney at the Ronald M. Mankoff Tax Clinic, conducting interviews with the Internal Revenue Service and the Minnesota Department of Revenue while drafting offers in compromise and memos on tax issues. Prior to law school, Erik served in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer as well as a strike advisor for U.S. Strategic Command, a position where he advised the president of the United States directly on strategic options in crisis situations.

Personal Interests

Outside of law, Erik enjoys hiking in national parks, cross-country skiing, sailing and reading.
