Overview

John Gilmore keeps the business interests of his clients front and center as he supports their construction and real estate needs.

Prior Experience

John first joined Faegre Drinker as a summer associate where he limited client risk exposure by reviewing loan agreements and identifying change of control and ownership clauses. He also drafted memorandums analyzing Supreme Court decisions to inform organizational decision making. As a judicial extern to Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush of the Indiana Supreme Court, John researched and authored bench memos, prepared recommendations and drafted criminal transfer memos. John also served as a law clerk at another firm where he oversaw subrogation claims, drafted pre-trial pleadings and discovery documents, and managed cases for corporate insurance clients.

Before law school, John worked at Phillips 66 as a pipeline controller where he monitored and controlled multimillion-dollar transactions of oil and natural gas products across global distribution channels.

From 2009 to 2015, John served as an Antitank Missileman Tow Gunner in the United States Marine Corps.
