Overview

Megan Childs Grant is an associate on the HR compliance, training and transactions team and a member of the labor and employment group. Megan advises employers on a broad range of complex workplace matters, including discrimination and harassment issues, employee terminations and discipline, and workplace policies and handbooks. She also offers employers guidance on general employee relations issues. Additionally, Megan advises clients on employment matters in corporate transactions.

Prior Experience

Before joining Faegre Drinker, Megan served as an associate in the labor and employment practice at an AmLaw 100 firm, representing employers in state and federal court, arbitration and administrative agencies. She also assisted clients in drafting and implementing COVID-19 policies, employee handbooks, and hiring procedures, including local, state and federal background check requirements. Megan completed a five-month secondment with the New York City Law Department serving as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Labor and Employment Division.

Megan received her J.D., with honors, from the George Washington University Law School, where she received the Ogden W. Fields Award for highest overall proficiency in labor law. During law school, Megan was an associate on The George Washington Law Review and served as a volunteer on the GW Law Family Law Pro Bono Project.
Before attending law school, Megan worked at an international investment bank as a Human Resources Graduate Analyst, where she completed rotations in reward governance, HR business partner, and campus recruiting.
