Overview

Jessica Himes offers guidance to clients facing securities and investment management matters. She utilizes her regulatory background to counsel a variety of clients on legal issues relating to compliance and preparation of securities filings for open- and closed-end funds.

Prior Experience

Jessica served as a summer associate at Faegre Drinker in 2023 and completed legal research and writing projects across various practice areas, including investment management.

Before pivoting to her legal career, Jessica worked in state government and politics. She played a key role and held various positions in advising Illinois Governor JB Pritzker — during both of his political campaigns and as acting governor. Her work involved developing policies, drafting legislation, supporting legislative negotiations, and providing strategic recommendations across several issues. She was instrumental in crafting policy initiatives for clean energy, consumer protections, and infrastructure expansion.

Jessica also worked as a research associate for the Hillary for America campaign in 2016, where she conducted opposition research across several hot-button policy and political issues.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys exercising, cooking, reading, and spending time with her nieces.
